History of the Magic Valley UU Fellowship

The Magic Valley Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship was founded in 1992, in Twin Falls, Idaho. The Fellowship met at the Elks Lodge at first, followed by the Church of the Brethren building followed by the YMCA. We then shared space with the Episcopal church. Visiting ministers assisted the lay led program. David Rankin was hired part time in 2000. Roger Kurtis, Julie Merrick and Heather Starr also led the congregation in a part time capacity until 2010. During that time MVUUF met at the Whites Chapel in Kimberly and the Step Ahead Learning Center in Twin Falls. From 2010 until 2015 we met at the Twin Falls Senior Center.  Next we met at the Vendor Blender facility in Twin Falls, near the old hospital, until the beginning of 2019, when we found our first permanent home, at 160 9th Avenue East in Twin Falls.
