In the US and many other countries, Christmas is still recognized as the most important holiday in the month of December. Some ardent defenders of Christmas believe this is the only ‘reason for the season’. However, as one who enjoys a celebration, it is important to recognize there are holidays representing many faiths and beliefs that are also worthy of celebrating during December.
Join us for a commemorative service recognizing the many events in December that give us many reasons for the season.
As Unitarian Universalists, we have a proud tradition of responding to the imperatives of love and justice to work with those of us who are marginalized and oppressed in society and the world. Unitarian Universalists covenant to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person; justice, equality and compassion in human relations; and acceptance of one another.
