Time to work and play, and clean our home.
It’s the third Sunday of Advent. The theme of the third Sunday is Joy. Let us take a break from the frenzy of the physical planning, shopping, and preparing, to reflect with hopeful anticipation on the joy and celebrations to come. Join the Magic Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for a service that celebrates the holiday season through song and story-telling.
Our service Sunday will be both in person at our location 160 9th Avenue East in Twin Falls as well as on ZOOM beginning at 10:30 AM Mountain Time.

Sometimes all you can offer is yourself. Sometimes all you do is be there. And that is enough. Our presenter this week is Jeannine Robinett, our Ministerial Intern.
Our service Sunday will be available on Zoom.

Our first principle of Unitarian Universalism is affirming and promoting the inherent worth and dignity of every person and the seventh principle is affirming and promoting respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. These two principles closely align with the basic philosophy of health care. Join us this Sunday as Dr. Daniel Preucil shares his experiences as a palliative care physician.

People gather in religious or spiritual communities for many reasons. Among these are a desire for community, connecting with something greater than oneself, or to join others in social justice. All of these are powerful reasons to regularly gather. This Sunday, Rev. Jenny Peek will share her metaphor of ‘the theology wheel.’ This wheel is a tool for exploring aspects of personal theology, practicing its application in real world circumstances, and closing any personal gap we feel between what we think/believe–and how we choose to be in the world.
Jen Okelberry will be the Worship Associate
Join the MVUU Fellowship for a discussion about the place of spirituality and religious community focused on the experience of younger folks.
There will be no Zoom service this week.
Presented by Perri Gardner and Jonathan Thompson
As we hold the broken pieces of our world, we must ask what can be repaired? What should be repaired? Are there things that it’s time to let go of rather than repair? These weeks and months following an historic election invite us into new ways of moving in the world as we pick up the pieces and create the world we want to live in.
Jeannine Robinett will be here in person for this presentation.

Come admire the new TV screen, or visit on Zoom.
Join congregant (and newly certified Narrative 4 Story Exchange facilitator) Perri Gardner for a morning of story sharing. Each participant should use one of the following prompts to prepare a 3-5 minute story to share with a partner and a small group.
—-Tell a story about a belief you no longer hold
—-Share story about an experience that made you feel hopeful about bridging political divides
—-Tell a story about a time when you had to confront your own bias

This service may run longer than usual. There will be no Zoom service this Sunday.
And, this is the first day of Mountain Standard Time for November.
If someone says “High Church,” what comes to mind? How about “Tent Revival” or “Itinerant Preacher,” or maybe just “Sunday-go-to-meeting-finest?” We might not immediately think of a relaxed place where we are free to think, doubt, mess up, and try again. This Sunday, our visiting minister Rev. Jenny Peek joins us and brings us news of dismantling the imperialist church. What’s that? Well, it could look like high church, or a tent revival. It probably does not resemble a place where we can celebrate out bloopers.
