September 27: “If you knew me” (Online Service)

Presenter: Rev. Jenny Peek

Our visiting minister from Pocatello, the Rev. Jenny Peek returns this Sunday with her reflection, “If you knew me.”
A simple phrase, in Rev. Jenny’s life she has spoken it, have been used at the beginning of an explanation, as in: “If you knew me, you’d know I never meant harm, offense, disrespect to you in that situation, or regarding that issue.

Reverend Jenny Peek will explore some valid reasons for using the phrase “if you knew me” and help us also to consider how those words might sometimes get in the way of deepening relationships.

Please join us online at 10:30 AM Mountain Time.

September 13: “Water Communion”

Presenter: Karen Fothergill

Have your water ready!

Join us this Sunday for our Annual Water Communion, a ritual that celebrates our gathering together for a new church year. This year will be different, as we continue to navigate the challenges of feeling our deep connection while maintaining our safe and responsible physical distances.

The Unitarian Universalist Water Communion is a traditional Unitarian Universalist celebration of life, equality, diversity and freedom. Our celebration will be a virtual one this year. Everyone will have the opportunity to pour water of memories into a vessel at home as you tell us the story of the water you gathered over the summer.

After the service, the water poured into your at-home container will be taken outside to water a tree, a favorite plant or perhaps even an interesting looking weed.
