Karen Fothergill will share insights from the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Sunday, October 25, 2015: “The Spiritual Side of Clutter”

Host: Ken Whiting
Presenter: Julie Merrick

As we consider our attachments to the past and our fears for the future, we can learn to let things go by asking ourselves one simple question about our belongings, “Do they spark joy?”

This is the premise of the remarkable, best-selling book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Condo. Her ideas can be implemented to help us live with greater appreciation, peace and presence as we transform our living environments into joy filled spaces.

Sunday, October 18, 2015: “Maturity—What is it and How Do I (We) Get It?”

Presenter: Elton Hall
(Guest Speaker from Boise UU Fellowship)

Host: Karen Fothergill
This Sunday, we will explore what maturity is, how some traditional societies have guideposts for becoming mature, and what we in modern culture, who do not have guideposts, might do to become more mature and wise individuals.

Sunday, October 11, 2015: “The Art of Listening”

Host: Ray Cross

Presenter: Matthew Sabin
(Guest Speaker)

Matthew Sabin, a speaker from the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will discuss a book he read in college titled “The Shockwave Rider.”

Our service this Sunday will allow people to anonymously talk with other people who only listen. There is nothing, nothing in the world that can take the place of one person intentionally listening or speaking to another. The act of consciously attending to another person — when one once discovers the art of listening and its significance this can become the center of gravity and the work of love.
