American Individualism’s Perspective on Social Justice

February 16: MVUUF House-Warming Party!

Hi Everyone,

We have our House-warming party scheduled for this Saturday, February 16th at 6pm.

The duo,  Crazy Love,  Heather Platts and Bruce Michael Miller will be playing music.

As for food, this will be a potluck-style party, so feel free to bring appetizers, salads, main dishes, or desserts. You may also bring your favorite drinks, alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic.

If you are unable to bring something, just bring yourselves.

The 20 most immediate households near our new home have been invited as well! If you see unfamiliar faces, please introduce yourselves!

February 17: Stages of Faith

Many people attending Unitarian-Universalist fellowships were raised in other religions, so much so that Unitarian-Universalism is often referred to as a sanctuary for religious refugees.  Let’s explore the natural stages of faith development into adulthood and discuss what potential benefits and drawbacks can come from gathering together with others who are in a variety of similar yet different phases of faith and transitional faith stages.

February 10: “The Triumph of Trust Over Experience”

What does it mean when we say we trust someone or something? What does it mean when we say we trust in God, or in the Universe? Does it mean we think things will always go our way? What happens in our hearts and souls when things do not go our way, especially in matters of deep import? Rev. Greene will reflect on these questions, and on how trust relates to faith and hope.
