June 13 Magic Valley Unitarian-Universalists to Meet at Nat Soo Pah

Please join us for this special outdoor service at Nat Soo Pah Hot Springs and Campground, 2738 E 2400 N south of Twin Falls instead of our regular location.

We will meet at 10:30 am at the pavilion located in the camping area. Please bring a chair to sit on. Camping is available on your own. Because we have rented the pavilion, swimming in the hot tub pool is available for $2 a person.  For more information contact Nat Soo Pah at  (208) 655-4337  or at their website   https://www.natsoopah.com. Bring a swim suit and towels if you plan to swim.

Wednesday, Nov. 4: Special Post-Election Vespers Service & Joint UU Gathering

The Magic Valley UU Fellowship has been invited to join First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake and the South Valley UU Society for a post-election drop-in gathering and vespers service via Zoom on Wednesday evening, November 4, from 6 to 9 pm. All of our UU friends across Utah and southern Idaho are invited to attend. We will have a drop-in style open house discussion moderated by the ministers – come whenever you like, stay as long as you like, be comforted by the presence of other UUs as we process what is sure to be an uncertain result of the election and an uncertain future for our country.

The meeting runs from between 6 to 9 pm (Mountain Time). During that time there will be a 30 minute worship service starting at 7:30pm MT

October 26: Silent aUUction and Potluck

Our silent auction fundrasing event is this evening (Saturday, October 26th), from 5 to 8 pm at our Magic Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 160 9th Avenue East in Twin Falls.

NEW: Join Soul Matters Group BUUF+MVUUF starting October 22, 7 p.m.

Hello MVUUF Members and Friends:

As a part of our new partnership with Boise UU Fellowship, intern Mary Beth Bolin is launching a Soul Matters Small Group on the 4th Tuesday of each month for both MVUUF and BUUF friends, where all participants will join online via the “Zoom” online meeting platform. “Zoom” is easy to download and run either on a computer or a phone. Get your device ready and sign up for a free account in advance here.

This is an exciting opportunity to connect more deeply with each other and with the monthly themes, all from the comfort of our own homes! Our first meeting will be Tuesday October 22 at 7 pm, discussing the theme of “Belonging.” If you would like to participate, please email Mary Beth at intern@boiseuu.org.

February 16: MVUUF House-Warming Party!

Hi Everyone,

We have our House-warming party scheduled for this Saturday, February 16th at 6pm.

The duo,  Crazy Love,  Heather Platts and Bruce Michael Miller will be playing music.

As for food, this will be a potluck-style party, so feel free to bring appetizers, salads, main dishes, or desserts. You may also bring your favorite drinks, alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic.

If you are unable to bring something, just bring yourselves.

The 20 most immediate households near our new home have been invited as well! If you see unfamiliar faces, please introduce yourselves!

  • From I-84, take Exit 173 onto US-93 Toward Twin Falls.
  • Continue on US-93 (which turns into Blue Lakes Blvd) for a little more than 6 miles.
  • Take a slight right onto Shoshone St.
  • Continue for just under a mile on Shoshone St.
  • Once you cross Main Street, start looking for 4th Ave. S.
  • Turn Left onto 4th Ave. S. (Note, #’d streets count down until you reach Main. Then they count up again after Main.)
  • 360 Center is on the right just after you cross Idaho Street.
